Dark Side Necklace

I’ve always been completely fascinated by some of the unique beads and components created by Swarovski, especially the cosmic rings and triangles. These aren’t exactly beads, but they simply cry out to be used in jewelry. The trouble is finding ways to do it without wire.

I’ve been holding onto some jet black cosmic triangles for awhile now, when out of the blue I pictured them with a beam of light passing through. I could see strands of rainbow seed beads, too. So today’s necklace-a-day design was born.

  1. I like the scientific aspect of this necklace. It immediately makes me think of the way a prism splits white light into rainbow colours. What a clever way to use a slightly awkward component!

  4. Thank you! I think I like the pictures more than the actual necklace. It turned out a lot differently than I had imagined, but the effect is still the same!
